Traveling Evaluations

If there are no certified oral motor therapists in your area, Jennifer is able to come to you!

Traveling evaluations are an excellent option for families or groups who are interested in beginning an oral motor program in their community. The therapist will fly to your community and complete evaluations/develop oral motor programs for children in collaboration with their parents and current therapists. During the appointment a child's current oral placement patterns and habits are evaluated. With this information the therapist will determine which activities are appropriate for your child and your families goals. 


Family and therapists are trained during the appointment on how to complete the activities at home. A written evaluation (better know as "the guidebook") is mailed 7-10days later. This document serves as a resource to your child program with step-by-step instructions on how to complete the activities, information on when to move on to the next activities, and tips for encouraging your child's participation. Along the way feel free to email/call with updates, questions, or comments as once your child has participated in an evaluation they are apart of Jennifer's caseload.
